KARIN VOLKWEIN- CAPLAN
Fun story: I joined a Spartan Race. Yes (smile, smile) A Super 10k with 25 obstacles (an amazing life experience) that took REAL mental toughness.
Questions I was often asked afterwards… WERE YOU READY? no. WAS IT WORTH IT? absolutely not. WILL YOU DO IT AGAIN? yes indeed.
Not many people can say they paid over 100$ solely for an hour or more worth of torture. But I will gladly say I did it and CANNOT WAIT to do it again.
The next Spartan will be in 2025 on the same course! Let me know if you'd like to be apart of the team and run for different causes in the Colorado community!
Check out these photos!
This might sound crazy, BUT-I watched people walk with speakers playing and sunglasses on enjoying their time in the sun with their friends and others…
(like my Team #HEREFORTHESELTZER and I) go full throttle and/or PUSH their body ultimately resulting in some form of bodily INJURY.
This of course led to me researching different ways how to convince others to train the mind and break any barriers pertaining to fitness.

"Modern society is increasingly characterized by the process of secularization...People's daily striving and acting is focus on the experience of happiness, here and now."
"When people are longing for the experiences of adventure in and through sport, their focus is on the body; that is, the body central to the sporting experience,.. Problem-solving seems to take place in conjunction with the body through which satisfaction and happiness can be gained."
It is SO EASY!
Let's Break it down
You already made that step to change by visiting this website... whether that be from a friend/family member OR your own Personal Trainer. The key word I need you take from this is YOU.
You create the environment you want to be in, you determine the intensity you desire, YOU can create the best version of YOU.
For example, If you're experiencing difficulty in a lift or just struggling to stay in a controlled environment. Bring a Journal with you or Open up an APP on your phone.
Write 3 things down;
HOW YOU FEEL BEFORE THE WORKOUT-
DURING THE WORKOUT-
AFTER THE WORKOUT- and write down 3 different things about how you feel during those times. This further gives you the opportunity to reflect and be more aware of your surroundings, environment, and how the body feels in these movements.
We tend to create our own biggest struggles especially in Mind, body, and awareness. Take some time to breathe and utilize some of these skills in your every day.
AGAIN. It only takes up to 10 minutes a day to feel better about everything.
