PST PROGRAMS [Psychological skills training]

"PST is sometimes referred to as performance enhancement, mental training and/or mental toughness"


What does this mean? What does this help? How can I use these skills?


EVERYONE  has difficulty with understanding that overall wellness is the brain AND the body. Studies have shown that not only does physical activity boost the mood, but also develops better, long-lasting life habits in as easy as 10 minutes a day. Some cool ways to try and be more aware of your own mind and body are keeping things fairly simple. BREAK IT DOWN.



Try setting some goals with your Certified Personal Trainer or by yourself about concentration, motivation, convenience/stress management. These three simple things can very well be the perfect resolution to every plateau that we hit every now and again. BREAK IT DOWN.



To continue utilizing the PST Program, take it a step further and go down the lists of why we are motivated to change, arousal control, and self-imagery or visualization. By Breaking things down we can find the inner motivation and the outer motivation to try and get a deeper sense of WHY we do what we do. Being in total control of the mind and body by telling it when and when not to peak/retract. This will provide an overall better sense of direction that can build our confidence in every movement we learn or develop a new skill. BREAK IT DOWN.



For example, If you're experiencing difficulty in a lift or just struggling to stay in a controlled environment. Bring a Journal with you or Open up an APP on your phone.


Write 3 things down; HOW YOU FEEL BEFORE THE WORKOUT- , DURING THE WORKOUT-, and AFTER THE WORKOUT- and write down 3 different things about how you feel during those times. This further gives you the opportunity to reflect and be more aware of your surroundings, environment, and the way the body feels in these movements.


We tend to create our OWN biggest struggles -especially in Mind, body, and awareness. Which is A-Okay! That is why we are here and the reason as to why we do what we do. SO! Take some time to breathe and utilize some of these skills in your every day.


AGAIN. It only takes up to 10 Minutes!
